Abstract:

In recent years, many new routing protocols designed for routing in wireless sensor networks where energy awareness is an essential consideration. Highdelivery ratio with low energy consumption is one of the key issues of routing in sensor networks. Different algorithms proposed to produce solution for this issue.This work presents a geographic and energy-efficient routing algorithm based on Ant Colony Optimizationmetaheuristic and Q-Learning (GQ-EAR) to balancebetween exploration and exploitation. GQ-EAR explores the network using a combinatorial method to learn goodrouts with high delivery ratio and low energy consumption. The performance of the algorithm is measured by delivery ratio, energy and energy efficiency.Experimental results show that proposed algorithm is robust, efficient and outperform other energy-aware algorithms.
