Although the effectiveness of learning strategies on Improving learners'speaking has been proven, few empirical studies have been done on theimpact of compensation strategy instruction on different aspects of speaking.The present study aimed to Investigate the impact of explicit and implicitcompensation strategy instruction on speaking fluency, accuracy andcomplexity. To this end, 60 students have been randomly selected fromZahedan. They were randomly assigned to explicit and implicit groups toreceive treatment on strategy instruction. Measures of fluency, accuracy, andcomplexity were used to evaluate the participants speaking abilities. Threeone way multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used to analyzethe data. The results of study indicated the kind of strategy Instructionprovided significant differences among the groups in terms of fluency,accuracy, and complexity in speaking. The Implications of the study werediscussed and suggestions for further studies were made
