The aim is to extract and analyze the essential oil from the peel of Sweet Lemon andthen identified via Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The analysis resultsshowed that the main components of volatile compounds from Sweet Lemon peel were: 62.46%Limonene, 7.36% Linalool, (3S)-(-)-Citronellal 6.20%, 6.04% β-Myrcene and 4.36% Citronellol.Monoterpenes were the most common group of compounds in essential oils, so hydrogenatedmonoterpenes were identified with 71.90% in Lemon peel essential oil.
