Synthesis and characterization of polyaniline/SiO2 composite and nano composite by using hydroxypropylcellulose in aqueous media abstract

In this study nanocomposite of PAn/SiO2 has been prepared in the aqueous medium by using potassium iodate (KIO3) as an oxidant in the presence of hydroxypropylcellulose as an surfactant. The products were investigated in terms of morphology, chemical structure using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR).The results indicated that the properties of products dependent on the nanocomposite structure.
