Abstract:
Microemulsions are homogenous nanometric structures, with dynamic and transport behaviors. As carriers, microemulsions increase solubilization capacity of bioactive components and drugs, that lead to improve bioavailability and drug absorption. In this review article, microemulsions and their applications in drug delivery systems is considered.
