Abstract:

From our precise vapor pressure data for LiBr solutions in methanol, ethanol and 2- propanol for temperatures ranging from 298.15 K to 333.15 K for LiBr in methanol and 298.15 K to 348.15 K for LiBr in ethanol and 2-propanol the osmotic coefficients were calculated by taking into account the second virial coefficient of solvent. From the calculated osmotic coefficients, the parameters of the Archer extension of the Pitzer model, MSA-NRTL model and chemical model of Barthel are evaluated. Thermodynamic properties of investigated systems were discussed in terms of physical significance of model parameters
