Iran Energy Sustainable Development

Iran with its strategic geographical location in the Middle East, rich sources of oil and gas and vast mining resources, enjoys a special geopolitical position and has become famous as the world collection of strategic energy resources. Energy in Iran not only is the most important eco-social development motive force but also is the main source of investment for development. The paper discusses with the main energy resources used in Iran, which are mostly fossil fuels. Due to the limitation and depletion of these resources, we are going to find sustainable solutions for energy conservation, environmental protection. In this regard, we are also going to analyze renewable energy sources as a substitution of fossil fuels in many cases; however we must use it as a sustainable level to remain available as well.
