Analysis of Children Literature Translation Case Study: The Saucy Boy

The present paper aims at analyzing Hans Christian Anderson's 'The Saucy Boy', as a piece of children literature, and its translation by Bahman Rostam Abadi, based on Klingberg's theory of children literature translation. As it is defined children literature refers to the works produced and intended for children, and the ones read for or by them. So this study tries to determine a clear status for children literature and its translation into another language, it mentions the problems that a translator faces during the process of its translation, and also introduces the most challenging part of children literature translation which is cultural context adaptation based on the above mentioned theory.
