The Application of Pervasive Computing in Mobile Healthcare Monitoring system

Pervasive computing environments consist of wireless sensors, actuators, mobile applications and web services. On the other hand the advent of smart phones whileusing mobile technologies and pervasive computing has enabled healthcare access from anywhere and anytime. In pervasive healthcare a person can perform necessary day today tasks while his/her health is recorded, controlled, and processed continuously using on body sensors and actuators tocapture abnormalities, trends, and causes. In this system the physiological sensors act as nodes of a body network and asmart phone works as a coordinator. This paper deliberates about the architecture, standards, protocols, medical and technological requirements of a pervasive healthcare monitoring system.
