The Investigation of the Correspondence between the Goals of the Programs Broadcast by Seda-va-Sima (Iran Official Television) and Emotional Development Goals at Pre-Elementary School Level

The purpose of the current study is to investigate the correspondence between the goals of the programs broadcast by channel 2 of Iran Official Television and emotional development goals. The research method is of field type. To calculate the correspondence degree, a checklist including items related to emotional development components from the perspective of Vinita Cool and a questionnaire designed by the researcher were applied. Validity of the questionnaire was estimated by experts, and Cronbach's alpha index was used to evaluate the reliability index of this questionnaire (0.83). The analyses revealed that 11 out of 12 goals of Channel 2 were in line with emotional development components from Vinita Cool’s point of view. These results can improve the production and selection of animations by television and further attention to children as the audience.
