Abstract:

In the process of bitumen or asphalt producing by Air Blowing, air goes through feed in the vessel and it's oxygen reacts with molecules. Vapors from this reaction (process fumes) contain less than 10% O2 and different composition such as steam, Aldehydes (RCHO), Ketones (R1COR2), CO, CO2, NOX, CH4, N2, H2S, SO2 and finally oily hydrocarbons with C17 and C17+ by considering this composition which causes the air pollution we have to burn them to reduce the air pollution. In old asphalt design to absorption these oils, one accumulator considered to oil absorption, but toadies because of these main reasons it is necessary: 1. Using more environmental limitation from in charge organization 2. Decreasing of feed viscosity because of changing in crude sources or season changing, that causes increasing lube oil producing in refineries. 3. Increasing asphalt unites capacity that make more off gases and increase of heat capacity in incinerators Because of above reasons, in new asphalt unites also in some old unites such as Jey Oil Refining Company it has considered a "Deoiling Plant". In this case by increasing of unit's capacity in J.O.R.C. and excessive volume of gases from reactions that might burn in incinerators from one view and suitable burning these gases to convert them into standard limitation on environmental standards which needs using high volume of fuel gases from another view, therefore J.O.R.C decided to finding a solution to prevention of energy loss and also recover these great amount of expensive hydrocarbons. The aim of this project is upgrading the off gas system in J.O.R.C. by using the liquefactions system and collecting the slope oil from off gas to decrease the waste hydrocarbons from incinerators and therefore decreasing the air pollution.
