Abstract:

The paper presents different analysis algorithms for control of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) in wind energy conversion systems (WECS).These algorithms are based on conventional vector control. Called These methods in this paper:1) Series compensation algorithm and 2)Acceleration of rotor algorithm. In this paper first, these two techniques are reviewed and then their performances are analyzed and compared on the basis of simulation on Matlab/Simulink. Both two proposed algorithms are better than without compensation. The series method is better than Acc. method to maintain the voltage of stator and inject reactive power to grid. The advantage of acceleration algorithm is that fault energy is stored in kinetic energy.
