رخساره ها و محیط رسوبگذاری سازند تیرگان واقع در روستای شوراب، شرق حوضه رسوبی کپه داغ

Tirgan Formation (Lower Cretaceous) is located in the Kopet-Dagh Basin. It is about 26 meters thick at the Shurab section including carbonate and siliciclastic deposits (limestone, shale, marl and sandstone) that they are bounded conformably and gradual on siliciclastic of Shurijeh and calcareous-marl of the Sarcheshmeh formations. To evaluate sedimentary environment and sedimentation model used the petrography and field studies of carbonate and siliciclastic deposits in this area, which resulted in the identification four carbonate facies and two siliciclastic lithofacies indicating their deposition in four sedimentary environments (Tidal flat, lagoon, Shoal and open marine). Based on microfacies studies, this sequence is deposited on a homoclinal ramp carbonate platform.
