Tartaric acid-assisted solid-state synthesis of LiFePO4/C composite as cathode material in lithium ion battery abstract

LiFePO4/C composite was synthesized by a simple ball-milling method using tartaric acid as reducing agent. TEM employed to identify structural characteristics of the synthesized material. The electrochemical performance of the composite as cathode material was measured using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. LiFePO4/C composite has uniform particle size and is a promising cathode material for lithium ion batteries.
