The Relationship between the Factors of Competitive Advantage and Profitability at the Accepted Companies of the Tehran Stock Exchange abstract

The relationship between the factors of competitive advantage and profitability at the companies in the Tehran stock exchange has long been one of the main purposes of businessmen and economic activists to find guidelines for increased profitability. In this study, it was attempted to achieve the relationship between the profitability and the factors of competitive advantage, including the size of the company, financial leverage, liquidity, and efficiency in Tehran stock exchange companies. Statistical population includes all the Tehran stock exchange companies, except the investment companies, which 109 companies were selected and tested by the removing systematic sampling during 1382 and 1392. In this study, the Panel data method and its related tests were used. The findings of this research indicated that there is a significant positive relationship between the size of the company and the liquidity with profitability and there is a significant negative relationship between the efficiency and profitability. No significant relationship was found between the financial leverage and financial profitability
