Analytical approach to bursting and obtaining optimum load path in tube hydroforming abstract

During Tude hydroforming (THF) process, failure mode such as buckling, necjing and bursting may occur because axial feeding and internal pressure are imposed simultaneously. Theoretical stress-based forming limit criteria for bursting failure which is based on MarciiniaK and Kuczynski theory was used to determine the onset of necking. Ultimately the optimum load path for free forming of straight tube is obtained by applying Adaptive Simulation Method in ANSYS Parametric Design Language.
