Abstract:

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) have great potential to enable different applications associated with safety and infotainment. The feasibility of using the Chua-based synchronous cryptography system (cryptosystem) for VANET’s security is investigated in the present paper. Two vehicles with synchronized chaotic generators is considered toencryption and decryption scenario. According to IEEE standards, the chaotic encryptionand OFDM techniques are combined in the proposed scheme. The complexity of the proposed system is low and the numerical simulations show that by sending Cipher-texttrough an AWGN channel using the proposed scheme, we can maintain BER at a desired level and improve the security of the communication system
