Abstract:

At numerous locations in coastal areas in the world, fine sediments exchange to cohesive sediment under appropriate condition of salinity and temperature so called mud, actually Due to wave traveling and its imposed load over the muddy bed fraction of mud layer fluidized and starts to move. Previous Investigations depicted that Wave-mud interaction can occurs in small spatial scale almost in a few wave lengths, this interaction causes wave damping. Viscous behavior was implemented in third generation models for simulating wave dissipation. The objective of this study is implementing mud viscoelastic behavior in SWAN and evaluating its performance. The Results of exchanged codes indicates that viscoelastic model can reproduce wave spectrum and wave energy dissipation as well.
