Abstract:

Given the facts of living in an era of globalization and the commitments or responsibility of universities againstsocieties have obliged universities to play a critical role in development of the economy. Sociologists, too, admit to theshift of social roles played by universities from teaching theoretical implications to further impact in creation of value tothe public as well as national wealth. However, this can happen only if universities find their proper position asdevelopers of entrepreneurial capacity to the society through innovations and establish the critical capabilities needed toachieve such goal.This paper is an effort to assess organizational entrepreneurship in Alzahra University. To this end, first theliterature on issues affecting organizational entrepreneurship is reviewed. Next, employing Margaret Hill’sOrganizational Entrepreneurship Questionnaire which includes 48 questions we tried to measure subscales oforganizational behavior, individual attitude, flexibility, reward, entrepreneurial leadership, and entrepreneurial cultu re.By multiplying all scores the total score of entrepreneurship is achieved. The questionnaires and comments gatheredfrom academic experts, faculty members and other influential people in academia. For the analysis of results, SPSSanalysis tools of Friedman test, was used.
