Abstract:
Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is one of the mostpowerful analytical methods for solving many of linear andnonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations. Also,this method can present solution for coupled differentialequations. In this paper, the coupled nonlinear diffusion–reaction equations are solved by using HPM. The solutionof HPM is compared with solution obtained by adomiandecomposition method. The results show that by usingHPM, it is needed to solve only the first two equations inorder to attain an accurate solution while by usinghomotopy analysis method and variational iteration method,one should take and solve four first terms.
