The impact of economic globolization flows on technological competitiveness

Latecomers face challenges which origin from economic globalization. For winning benefits of international financial and non-financial capital flows, they should decide and behave intelligently. This progress should lead to the development of all aspects technological competitiveness in countries. This paper want to show the impact of economic globalization on Technological competitiveness. In order to prove this relationship, World Bank and World Economic Forum data of 30 selected countries, mostly from Asia and the emerging economies, has been used. Results show that the globalization of economy can predict technological competitiveness progress at the rate of 0.532. Also this hypothesis that FDI has more advantageous than FPI for latecomers, has been verified. Finally in technological competitiveness model, proposed in this article, institutional conditions and Macroeconomic environment are the most important determinant indexes.
