Abstract:

Many phenomena in physics and engineering reduced to integral equation. There are several methods for solving these equations. The homotopy perturbation method is a powerful device for solving a wide variety of problems arisen in many scientific applications. In this article, Optimal Homotopy asymptotic method as a modification ofHomotopy perturbation method is used to obtain an approximate solution of a class of integral equation. a numerical comparison have been conducted between Optimal Homotopy asymptotic method and Homotopy perturbation Method for solving these equations. Two illustrative examples are presented to show that the solutionobtained by Optimal Homotopy asymptotic method is more accurate than Homotopy perturbation method.
