Abstract:

This paper investigates a nonlocal cracked-nanobeam model from which we have analyzed the transverse vibrations of a cracked Euler-Bernoulli nanobeam. Several types of boundary conditions, including the consideration of a fixed at the end of the nanobeam, have been studied. The nonlocal Eringen elasticity theory and Hamilton’s principle are used to formulate the problem. The effect of the nonlocal small-scale parameter, crack severity, cracked section position, different boundary conditions are examined in this work.
