Abstract:

This paper presents an Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding Mode (AFSM) Current Control of Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) for integration offshore wind power system to on-grid network. In order to design adaptive robust control strategy,mathematical dynamic model of MMC using rotating d-q theory based upon positive and negative symmetrical components has been developed. Time-domain simulation studies are carried outin the Matlab/Simulink environment to verify the performance of the overall proposed control system. The simulation results show that the proposed controller provides the load with a set of sinusoidal, three-phase balanced voltages despite sever unbalanced voltage conditions.
