Abstract:
In this work, a simple, rapid and efficient dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) combined with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy was successfully used for determination of copper ions from water samples. In the proposed method, 2-amino-7,7 -dimethyl-5-oxo-4-chlorobenzene-5,6,7,8--tetra hydro-4H-chromon -3-carbonitrile was used as a complexing agent for the first time in the DLLME of copper ions. The effects of various factors on the extraction efficiency and its subsequent determination of Cu (II) ions such as extraction and dispersive solvent types and volumes (mL), salt addition (%), pH and Time (min) were studied using one factor at a time method. The limits of detection and quantification, the linear range and the relative standard deviation (RSD) were 0.7, 2.3, 2.3 – 3000 μgL-1 and 1.1%, respectively. Under the optimal conditions, the recoveries obtained for river water samples spiked with Cu (II) ions at concentration of 100 μg L-1 was 94.1%.
