Content Analysis of Donald Trump’s Promotional Speeches abstract
From the viewpoint of domestic and foreign policy observers, different approaches of America’s president ‘‘Donald Trump’’ compared to his predecessors will expose America to many changes. Predicting and identifying the changes through deconstructing the general policies of the Republicans and slogans and campaign promises of Trump and more importantly, influencing factors on the policies of America in the new period, will equip captains of diplomacy with an appropriate approach. This study aims at conceptual analysis of the content of Promotional speeches of Donald Trump. A descriptive content analysis method is used in this study. Statistical population of the study includes all the speeches and writings of Trump. Through availability sampling, 128 remarks of Trump published in various publications, were selected. Three themes such as political, economic and military with nine components were identified. The results show that the highest frequency (74%) in Trump’s remarks is related to foreign policy.
