A Bayesian Study on the estimate of Hazard function of coherent systems for weighted Lindley Distribution abstract

In the study of technical system in reliability engineering, coherent systems play an important role . In this paper ,we considered the weighted Lindley distribution as alifetime distribution of components in a coherent system, with n independent and identically distributed, whichbelongs to the class of the weighted distributions andprovide a comprehensive understanding by addingflexibility in the existing standard distributions. So,different types of loss functions and different priors forthe interested parameters are considered. The Bayesestimators for hazard function and mean residual lifetime of a coherent system and their respective posteriorrisks are computed by use of some computationalmethods, such as Monte Carlo and then compared fordifferent loss function. Some simulation studies havebeen done in order to investigate the effect of sample sizeon the estimated parameters. A real-life application isalso presented for the illustration purpose.
