Abstract:
Floating breakwater is a floating body moored to sea bed providing a still and safe area for loading and offloading of ships. In this study the hydrodynamics of this king of breakwater was considered solving the dynamic equation of mition of structure in time domain using finite difference method. The effect of mooring system performance of the breakwater was investigated . The results showed that mooring line length and its degree of stretch play an important role on efficiency of breakwater.
