Abstract:

The current study aimed at investigating the relationship between teacher beliefs, and written feedback of Iranian EFL teachers. In order to conduct this research, at the beginning, 20 Iranian EFL teachers were selected by the researcher. Afterwards, the teachers were asked to collect 10 writings from their students. So, they gave copies ofthem to the researcher. The feedback written on each test paper was analyzed in terms of content and form based on a scale that was proposed by Icy Lee (2008). Then, a teacher feedback beliefs questionnaire that was proposed by Icy Lee in (2008) was administered to the above mentioned teachers, and it was filled by the same 20 teachers. As the results indicated the two null hypotheses which formulated by the researcher were confirmed. Consequently, it was concluded that there was no significant relationship between teacher beliefs, and written feedback of Iranian EFL teachers, and Iranian EFL teachers’ beliefs about written feedback did not significantly explain their written feedback.
