Abstract:
Apart from its entertaining aspect, a movie can remind us of many hidden but crucial things in our behavior, attitude and thoughts. By investigating About Elly (Razavi and Farhadi, Farhadi 2009)[1], forth film of Asghar Farhadi, as our case study, we try to understand its aesthetic moments in a detailed way. When we consider a movie as an object and change it into a phenomenon, our interpretation becomes the source of knowledge. This interpretation comes out of our horizon of expectation, which rooted in our society and believes mostly. Reading About Elly as a literaty workby using reception aesthetics reveals ambiguity plays main role here. So many unanswered questions come to our mind and this help us to comprehend our perplexed life better.
