Abstract:
Two -dimensional (2D) layered hexagonal boron nitride (BNNs) ,known as white graphene, is a fascinating class of nanomaterials that have the potential for application in catalysis, electronics, photonics, energy storage, and sensing. In order to further modify the properties of BNNs, in this study, we report a facile approach to modify the surface of BN with cyclopentadieny (cpd-hBNNs) and examined its application as a new type of absorbent for wastewater treatment. The synthesized nanomaterial was able to efficiently remove cationic dye methylene blue (MB) from wastewater in a short time. Collectively, our results showed that such synthesized nanomaterial with high adsorption capacity and reusable could has potential application in sewage treatment.
