Revisiting Women’s Rights and Responsibilities in Islam abstract

In the glorious Qur’an there are 400 holy verses about women , which is a sign of their great significance in God’s eyes . In addition to portraying women’s real image , Qur’an has defined the women’s rights and responsibilities in various aspects of life, including in families and the society, and properly defended those rights . In addition to the holy verses of the Glorious Qur’an there are numerous sayings and narrations by infallible Imams (P ) and saints in which women’s exalted human status is properly described.The Islamic teachings, including the Qur’anic verses and the Prophet’s traditions , in the field of human beings’ responsibilities, individuals’ roles , and family structures the need for women’s presence in societies is properly defined so that both genders will perform their tasks properly will be awarded appropriate with their contributions .
