Gold electrode modified with functionalized MWNT self-assembled monolayer and it’s application in determination of dopamine (DA) in thr presence of uric acid (UA)

An efficient electrochemical sensor has been constructed using of cysteamine (CA) self-assembled monolayer, which is integrated with multi-walled carbon nanotube via amide bound, on a gold electrode. The successful construction of the electrode is confirmed using cyclic voltammetry (CV). Moreover, the modified electrode exhibits strong electrochemical activity toward the oxidation of dopamine (DA) with obviously reduction of over potential. The prepared electrode is capable to completely resolve the anodic oxidation peaks of DA and UA, allowing simultaneously determination of these compounds. The modified electrode showed good sensitivity, selectivity and stability in voltammetric responses.
