Populations Dynamics of bony fish, carp (Cyprinus carpio) and roach (Rutilus lacustris) in southern coast of the Caspian Sea

Abstract:

Carp and Caspian rouch are important commercial species in the southern Caspian Sea basin. The trend of tow species catch during the past two decades were declining, it has reached at least value in 2014. The samples used in this study were caught with srounding beach nets and fish market place. The age composition and the average fork length carp and roach of the samples was varied from 1 to 16 years, 1 to 4 years, respectively. The most fishing of carp and rouch were from 31cm to 39 cm and from 18 cm to 20 cm length range respectively. The parameters of growth and mortality carp and roch in 2014 were L =70.78, K=0.14, t0=0 and L =29.03, K=0.40, Z=1.5 and 0.9, m=0.5 and 0.26, F=1.24 and 0.4 respectively. The biomass and MSY of carp and rouch in 2014 were estimated 162.7,368.9 and 88.06, 32.7 tons, respectively
