Abstract:
This study was an attempt to examine the students attitudes toward using mobile phones in developing listening skill. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of thirty-two undergraduate students at the Department of English Translation at Kashmar Higher Education Institute, Iran. Data were collected and analyzed for means, standard deviations, and percentages. The analysis of data indicated that the majority of the participants have a positive view toward applying mobile devices in developing listening skills. The obtained results showed that students are ready and eager to use mobile learning in class environment. The findings also revealed that students tend to integratemobile phones within their class because they can have an easy access to those applications that improve the language process. It can be concluded that mobile devices are useful apparatus for learning English particularly developing listening skill and due to their accessibility, they can be adopted everywhere
