Abstract:

Language and neuroscience have deep historical connections. Neuroscientists and psycholinguists have mined the link between language and the brain. Therefore, this article aims to study the relationship between neural system processing and error occurrence in language performance of Iranian EFL learners. This is a quantitative study that 50 teachers were selected randomly. The questionnaire was the instrument to collect the data, so the questionnaires were distributed among the teachers. In order to determine the relationship between IQ level and error occurrence in language performance in Iranian language learners, Pearson correlation coefficient test was used. In this study, it has been observed that neural system processing affects the error occurrence in language performance. Neural system processing affects the fossilized error occurrence in language performance. There is a relationship between IQ level and error occurrence in language performance in Iranian language learners, (P=0.005). Results suggest that neural system processing affects the error occurrence in language performance. Moreover, there is a relationship between IQ level and error occurrence in language performance in Iranian language learners.
