Abstract:
video game-length is increased if players get motivated in playing and spend more time to discover the game environment. Interested players play video games for a while, whereas others might leave shortly. The key reason roots in player satisfaction while playing a video game. This paper proposes a model, named TPS (Technical-Personal-Social), to categorize video games according to the player satisfaction. These outlines technical, personal and social elements which have high impact on player satisfaction and are required to get used in game design procedure. These elements form a model using which video games can be categorized according to the player attraction and satisfaction ratio.
