Abstract:
This paper deals with two-dimensional plane stress wrinkling model of a two layered circular blank during the deep-drawing process. Based on energy method, a bifurcation functional in polar coordinate is derived analytically. This technique leads to the critical conditions for onset of plastic wrinkling of the flange during the deep-drawing process. To find plastic stress distribution in two layers and to have closed-form solution, Tresca yield criterion alongwith plastic deformation theory are utilized. The material of the plates is assumed to behave elastic-perfectly plastic. The analytical closed-form solution is obtained by considering the nonlinearity of the material and geometry, simultaniously. The main advantage of theproposed solution is its better agreement with the experimental results found by the other resarchers. Finally the critical number of waves and the onset of wrinkling in deep drawing for the laminated Steel- Aluminum is obtained and it is compared with Steel- Seel and Aluminum-Aluminum.
