Abstract:
In this study raw canola stalk (RCS) and water vapor-activated biochar (BC) adsorbentswere utilized to remove lead (Pb) from polluted solutions. The water vapor-activatedbiochar adsorbent were prepared in 500°C carbonization temperature and 700°Cactivation temperature. Next, both RCS and BC were modified in one level, namely 5%using magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4). The lead adsorption isothermexperiments were carried out using the new adsorbents. The results indicated that the BCadsorbent modified with Fe3O4 (BC-5%NP) is the best adsorbent for the lead pollutants’removal. The entire results were compared in a 5% significance level.
