Abstract:
The security of energy supply is always an important issue. Different investigations illustrate that world energy consumption is increasing and they predict that energy demand will increase in the coming decades. Oil and gas will be the main sources of energy according to predictions. So producing oil and gas reservoirs should have high recovery efficiency. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods are applicable for this purpose. As the first stage of the procedure, screening and technical simulation of EOR scenarios have been performed. So the amount of oil and gas production rate and incremental recovery factor for each EOR scenario are available. In this investigation, economic evaluation is performed and the optimum EOR scenario is recommended based on the economics of the project. Questor software is used to calculate costs of each scenario. Economic evaluation is based on net present value (NPV) that performed by Excel software. Also, economic sensitivity analysis is done to obtain the effect of variation of economic parameters. Between 27 scenarios of 3 EOR methods, immiscible gas injection in peripheral pattern with 11 injection wells has the highest recovery factor and NPV value.
