Abstract:
Background and Aims: Kerman is a province which located in south east of Iran. Many cases of scorpion bites were reported annually from this region whereas rare data available. This research aims to identify the species composition of scorpions in northern parts of Kerman .provinceMaterial and methods: Scorpions were collected from Northern parts of Kerman province inBardisir counties during spring to summer 2019. Sam- ,Rafsanjan, Zarand ,cluding Kerman ples were collected using two methods including moving stones and UV light overnight. Scorpion species were identified by reliable identification key in Vector Biology department .of Kerman University of medical sciencesAll of samples belong to buthidae family in vari- .Result: Totally 126 specimen were collected Odentobuttus , %38 Mesobuthus eupeus phillipsi %43 ous species including: Anderactons crassicauda .respectively %19 doriae Conclusion: In summary identification of scorpion species in these regions can helpful for making specific anti-venom
