Abstract:
In this article, bending analysis of composite and nanocompositc Rcddy beam theory reinforced by carbon nanotubes using experimental test to obtain the mechanicalproperties such as density, shear and Young s modulli is investigated. Then using Hamilton’s principle, the governing equations of equilibrium are derived for Reddy theory at1d to solve these equations. Navier’s type solution is employed. The obtained results have a good agreement with other researcher’s results. In order to produce theprototypes for the tests, two methods of Hand lay-up and Industrial method using vacuum pump are applied. It is illustrated that adding just two percent of carbonnanotubes leads to enhance flexural rigidity of nanoeomposite beams. On the other hands, adding just two percent of carbon nanotubes to composite’s matrix that ismade by hand lay-up method. increases mechanical properties and decreases 20% of deflection and also accuracy of manufacturing process of composite and nanocomposite beams affects on their mechanical properties.
