A support tool for bridging the gap between developers and end-usersin requirements elicitation phase

WebSTUIRE, presented in this paper, is a support tool provided user interface requirements elicitation and with combining scenario-based approaches and prototyping approaches in a multi-user environment. The lack of user involvement and the communication gap between the developers and the end-users are the major causes of poorrequirements and user interface requirements elicitation. This paper presents a way which WebSTUIRE uses to facilitate elicitation and specification of user interface requirements from users directly and shows how WebSTUIRE facilities communication gap between developer and end-users. Also included are examples of the tool’s use, acomparison between WebSTUIRE and similar CASE tools, an evaluation of tool by a group of developers, and a discussion of needed features for software environments that support user involvement
