Comparison of depression, anxiety, recognizable flexibility and quality of life between divorced and ordinary women under the support of Imam Khomeinicommittee

Quality of life refers to the personal standards of the people about their own life in general andspecifically about their thoughts and feelings. The objective of the present research is to comparethe level of depression, anxiety, recognizable flexibility and quality of life between divorced andordinary women under the support of Imam Khomeini Committee in Jam. a number of 50 cases (25ordinary and 25 divorced cases) were selected randomly between 1000 cases of ordinary womenand 150 cases of divorced women under the support of Imam Khomeini Committee in Jam. Datawas gathered using the questionnaire between the attendees and after their approval. The researchtools were Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), World HealthOrganization Quality of Life – Brief Form (WHOQOL-BREF) and Acceptance and Action QuestionnaireII (AAQ-II). The results using T-test for independent groups revealed that the anxiety and depressionof divorced women were significantly higher than ordinary women. Besides, quality of life andrecognizable flexibility of divorced women is lower than ordinary women. The findings of theresearch showed that as divorced women has passed a difficult stage in their lives, they could notovercome their anxiety and this resulted in an increase in depression coefficient, reduction inquality of their life and their flexibility. It is suggested that supportive psychotherapy courses areperformed for these cases to get compatible with their new conditions.
