Sulfonylation of Phthalazine‐1‐ones via Palladium‐Catalyzed C–H Activation

In this study, the regio- and chemo-selective Pd-catalyzed C–H functionalization method has been successfully reported for directed C–H sulfonation of 2-arylphthalazin-1(2H)-ones with arylsulfonyl chlorides. This protocol provides a direct access to a series of sulfonated phthalazinones compounds in medium to good yields.
