A Study of Effect of the air pollutant on physical, mental and socialhealth: A review study

Recently the short term effects of air pollutants on physical, mental and social health has attractedthe attention of many researchers.The purpose of this systematically review the epidemiological literature on the effect of the airpollutant on physical, mental and social health. Eight hundred and thirty-five articles wereretrieved based on various databases: Google Scholar, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Science Direct,PubMed, NCBI and BMJ. Word search of abstract and article text filtered the results to 65 articles.30 articles were included after screening. The literature indicates a significant adverse effect fromair pollutants emissions on physical, mental and social diseases. Studies showed that air pollutionhas an attributed morbidity and mortality. The survey requires the need to enact and enforcepermissible air pollutants levels/standards for reduce the health effect on human by relevantenvironmental authorities both at Federal and state levels.
