Abstract:

Dress fashion as a turning point of individual identity has been the subject of discourseconflicts in the history of Iran. Since the purpose of the sociology of art is to analyze themysterious nature of the work and its relevance to the contemporary society, the presentstudy, with an emphasis on the theory of Blumer's fashion, attempts to answer thisfundamental question that How is dress fashion in Iran defined based on social, cultural,historical and political conditions in form of discourse? To answer this question after ahistorical review, interpretive analysis has been carried out in three periods (ancient times,from the Qajar government to the Islamic revolution and from the Islamic revolution tillnow) and different results have been achieved. The findings represent the cultural andideological discourses of various social periods, opinions and distinctive views that have hada significant and significant impact on the type of clothing and dress fashion in each periodand eventually reflect the rules of the value system of the Iranian community. In this paper,the descriptive-analytical method and the method of collecting data are used as a library way(documentary).
