Synthesis and characterization of novel cationic double head surfactant with a hydrophopic PPG spacer

cationic double -head surfactants are bis-cationic polyether consist of hydrophobic linear aliphatic polyether and two terminal quaternary ammonium groups as hydrophobically heads. The hydrophobic linear aliphatic polyether is polypropylene glycol PPG. the cationic double head surfactants have been synthesized by two steps the first formation of epoxy groupsin tow terminal of PPG then reaction epoxy groups with diethanol amine. the cationic double head surfactants can be used as cationic dispersants and corrosion inhibitors.
