Abstract:

This study aims to design and validate a model for organizing total quality management in the educational system of private universities in Iran. The research approach is mixed. In the qualitative stage, to review the research's principles and literature, the influential factors on total quality management in the university education system have been extracted. Then, using the Delphi technique in two stages, the factors extracted from the research literature. Then we sent them to the experts to check their suitability.Participants in the qualitative part of the research were ۱۸ experts in educational management in the educational system of universities who were selected to establish the components and indicators by purposive sampling. The statistical population in the quantitative section is all teachers of private universities in Tehran who were determined by the non-random sampling method based on the Morgan ۳۸۴ table. Structural equation modelling methods have been used to analyze quantitative information. The validity of research tools is face validity, professors' content, and the validity of factor analysis. Cronbach's alpha test was used for reliability. The research findings showed that ۲۷ indicators are classified into the dimensions of "culture", "human resources", "management", and "systems and processes". Also, by modelling structural equations, a suitable fit of the model was obtained. In the final stage, the degree of fit of the model with a confidence level of ۹۹% was considered desirable.
