Abstract:
The present study was an attempt to investigate the Iranian EFL junior high school teachers' ideas and opinions about the Prospect series evaluation. In order to accomplish this goal, ۱۱۲ male and female teachers from six cities of Mazandaran province were asked to answer questionnaire forms. The questionnaire used for this study was an adaptation of the Alamri's checklist (۲۰۰۸). After collecting the data from the participants; it was coded to be analyzed. The analysis of the data revealed that the teachers who participated in this study had a positive view toward the Prospect series in terms of general appearance, accompanying materials, objectives, topic contents, language contents, social and cultural contexts, language skills, and teachability, though they were critical of the point that Prospect series was an Iranian adaptation of communicative language learning (CLT). At the end some suggestions for further research were made.
